Pride Center Preview
Pride Center Preview | August 21, 2026
Overview
For 2026, Pride Symposium will be reimagined as “Pride Center Preview,” a 1-day welcome and community-building experience designed to provide incoming students with information about the LGBTQ Pride Center, annual events and ways to get involved. Students will learn about LGBTQ+ student organizations on campus, opportunities to volunteer through the Pride Center, and LGBTQ+ resources on campus and in the local community.
Incoming students (first years and transfer students) will get a chance to connect with each other and hear from returning students about what it’s like to be LGBTQ+ at NC State. This event is a great way for students to create community, learn about campus resources, and meet Pride Center staff in a casual environment with food and games.

FAQ’s
What’s the difference between Pride Center Preview and Pride Symposium?
We’ve listened to student feedback and have scaled Pride Symposium down to a 1-day event for August 2026. Pride Center Preview is a more concentrated and shorter program than Pride Symposiums of the past. Think more interactivity, more interpersonal engagement and more connection with Pride Center staff directly!
What is required for students to attend?
Students are able to attend the event at no cost. We require students to RSVP in advance through provided links on this page in order to ensure we have enough food and supplies.
What should I bring to Pride Center Preview?
Any necessary materials are provided as a part of registration. Feel free to bring water bottles and snacks. Food will be provided.
What if I have a scheduling conflict during the event?
Due to the immersive nature of Pride Center Preview, we heavily encourage students to commit to the full day. Students with scheduling conflicts should reach out to the Pride Center for any potential accommodations, at pridecenter@ncsu.edu.
